On November 16, 2011, the UC Barrett Cancer Center held a Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Reception, to help raise awareness and bring attention to the nation’s Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. BSI presented a check to Dr. Ahmad and his Pancreatic Cancer Research Team in the amount of $10,000 in memory of Bryan Speicher who lost his fight against pancreatic cancer in 2003.
BSI is hopeful that others will join the cause, and will participate in functions to raise awareness and to raise funds to be contributed toward fighting Pancreatic Cancer.
