For this project, BSI Engineering was called on for project management, procurement, cost engineering, construction management, process engineering & design, mechanical, structural, architectural, instrumentation & controls, and electrical services. The Process

For this particular project, our client needed an existing warehouse to be converted into a combustible and toxic process area for herbicides and pesticides. The BSI Engineering team was tasked with identifying and supplying all new utilities including hot and chilled water, compressed area, process water, and CIP. This included 2 boilers with redundant pumping skid, variable speed air compressor and specialties, and a low temperature process chiller with free cooling option. Electrically a total of 10 new MCC sections were added. Integral VFDs, area lighting, and outlets were also upgraded to meet area classification.

A total of 8 new process vessels were installed with high shear mixers and agitators. Mills provided by the customer were integrated into the process design. Structurally, a new mat foundation was designed along with a multi-level access platform and hoist system.
